Are you saved or self-deceived? Well, a litmus test is this: Do you live by the words of God, obey them, love them, love Him in your living as He commands or do you love the world, seek the world, go by what the world says is the way to do things? Are you living what your lips proclaim or are you living a lie that comforts you in your dying conscience? As one great preacher once said….no discernible fruit, no real salvation. If Christ is not your Lord, He is most assuredly not your Savior. Even the demons believe and tremble. But that belief does not affect their “lives” either…they are demons still. Words are not fruit. Fruit is fruit. And all fruit shows. Husbands…are you loving your wife that God has given you as Christ loves the Church? Wives, are you showing respect to your husband and submitting to their final answer on decisions? Husbands, wives, do you confess your sins to God and to one another as you are each accountable first to the other, after God? Children, are you obeying your parents in submission as to Christ? Husbands, wives…are you submitting each to the other as you each belong to one another, after God? Is the husband leading the family, the wife in devotions, praying together, washing her in the word of God? Is the wife left alone to wash herself due to the husband’s rebellious heart and capricious righteousness? Is the husband left to have to do for himself the things his wife should be doing as service to him, as to the lord. AS to the LORD…is the fruit of your profession showing here? It is the first place it either shows or does not. It is where obedience and application of the word meet and reveal themselves to be true or untrue. Doing what GOD commands, not what each choose by whim to do or not do…there’s a place to start…your marriage…and how well you obey the word of God just in that. Honestly….would your spouse even know you were saved if you didn’t tell them? You shouldn’t have to, you know. A newborn baby doesn’t have to announce that they have been born to the mother…and it is the same thing in our lives….it doesn’t matter if you “believe” if you do not live it. And if you do not live it, you really don’t believe at all….

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ ~ Matthew 7:21-23
