“Before you go claiming you’re a Christian, check this list and see if the last sentence applies.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you… 1 Cor 6:9-11a

If you practice any of these (remembering Christ’s words that just looking at a person in lust is sin, as is lying, etc), know that it is an evidence of an unrepentant heart still unmoved by God, that is still enslaved to sin. A heart unwilling to submit to Christ in the day in/day out, moment by moment confession of sin coupled with a blood earnest desire to flee it in every area of life is not a Christian heart. So no matter what you say, words are not substantial proof of being born again. And make no mistake you and I MUST be born again or we will not see the kingdom of God. Period.

By a man’s fruit (lifestyle) is he known. Not talking your philanthropic deeds or your church attendance, if you attend at all. Not talking if you “believe” Jesus died on a cross and rose again.

Do you love the things God loves? Do you hate the things God hates? Do you agree with the bible or do you twist and distort it in some man centered love that is not a biblical love. Is your heart changed? How do you think and therefore act? On what basis do you claim a place in heaven and an audience before the King of Kings?

The Father did not place His beloved Son upon a cross so man could claim a spot in heaven apart from a changed life on earth. If we love Him, we keep His commandments. If we love Him, we mourn over sin and seek to slay it. If we love Him, we leave all and follow Him. Anything less is lip service and dead faith.

Are we playing the game claiming the Name or truly, undoubtedly born again?
