It definitely keeps one eyes on house-cleaning doesn’t it?
Nothing better than keeping the dust from gathering under the beds…and the skeletons from gathering in the closets.
It sends chills down the spine to think that many of us are more atheist than those who aren’t even saved. To live life day to day as though God is asleep or not watching is the worst kind of rebellion. Oh but for the grace and patience of God.
It does me as well. Especially tough watching it close up in one’s own “family”, torn asunder by sins unrepented of while lips profess Christ but life denies Him with each sullied breath.
